With the weather warming up we are checking in with Kate, a retired cop turned pub owner over at Rebel's Rock to see how the Patio and the summer are shaping up! remember, Tuesdays are $5 thb and rebel lager pints! Wings are also bogo 1/2 price!
q1 - In a nutshell, what is rebel's rock all about?
A1 - Rebel’s in a cozy authentic Irish Pub. We are a tap house with 17 lines.
(Kate was being modest here, rebel's also raised funds for at least one youth irish dance club that I know about. they also open their doors to artists once a week for a free opportunity to showcase and sell their works! check for details)
Q2 - what about your great patio?
A2 - Our patio is tucked into the east side, so it is shaded from the hot afternoon sun. It is also puppy friendly!
Q3 - Rebel's Rock is known for its inviting Irish atmosphere, and music is a big part of that. What does the regular line-up look like? Any special acts coming up?
A3 - On Wednesday we feature local artist Show & Sale nights, we have live Irish music Thursdays at 8 pm and on Saturdays at 8 pm with a small cover charge, and Sunday afternoon we have a Jam Session 3-8pm.
Q4 - What are some of your favourite menu items? Favourite features?
A4 - All our food is made in-house from scratch; all but two of the dishes are Gluten Free. There are menu specials….Tuesdays $5 THB and Rebel’s Pints with Wings discounted; Wednesday are Irish Whiskey Tacos; Thursdays are Magic Meatloaf; Friday is Magners & Maple Poached Salmon; all other days are the straight menu. Most famed on the menu are our “Messes”, our Irish Nachos, Our Fish & Chips, and most noted our Braised Lamb Shanks. We open at 12 noon and have the full menu right through to 8:45 pm.
